To Prospective Parents

Thank you for your interest in the N. E. Miles Jewish Day School.

Choosing an educational path for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent, and our program is unlike any other in Birmingham. Filled with experiential learning, community engagement, and innovative projects, our days are rooted in Jewish values and traditions. We encourage you to arrange a tour of our beautiful facility, see our classrooms in action, and feel the warm community of the NEMJDS.

Our faculty and staff know our students and understand who they are as learners and individuals. As a school community, we collaborate to ensure that our students are not only gaining premier academic skills but also developing into strong leaders with a firm sense of self. At the NEMJDS, our students feel comfortable to take academic risks and try new things, and each day is new and exciting! From engineering with toothpicks and Legos to public speaking about the importance of kindness and philanthropy, our students are constantly collaborating and developing the skills necessary to be engaged citizens and leaders. Each year new programs and projects are introduced to enhance our curriculum and cater to our students’ individuality and interests.

We invite you to experience this sense of community and energy around learning for yourself and schedule a tour with our Director of Advancement, Rebekah Weinberger, at rweinberger@nemjds.org.
