Tuition & Financial Aid
Tuition for the 2017-2018 academic year is $10,350 and includes all fees except special grade-level field trips, lunch fees, and after-school activities. The actual cost of educating a student at the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School is approximately $18,900. Tuition is subsidized through Birmingham Jewish Federation allocations, the Birmingham Jewish Foundation, fundraisers, and the generosity of community-wide donations.
Providing families access to a Jewish education for their children, regardless of income, is a top priority at the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School.
All families requesting tuition assistance must use FACTS, an independent agency designed to assess a family’s ability to pay for a private school education. Applications are reviewed anonymously by the Tuition Assistance Committee. Tuition assistance recipients are responsible for all tuition, fees, and expenses in excess of the assistance award.
To Apply for Tuition Assistance:
- Complete the FACTS financial aid application.
2. All forms must be completed and returned to FACTS with the latest tax year and a $27 processing fee.
3. Check the appropriate box on the Tuition Contract.
4. No consideration for tuition assistance will be made unless the application and all required documentation to FACTS has been submitted.
