In Judaic’s class we are learning the Parshah of the week from the Torah. The students hear the story with pictures on the smart board, then they act the story out with dress up clothes and puppets. They have a Judaic wall in the Kindergarten classroom where we hang their group projects such as: the creation of the world, Noah’s Ark in which the students made the animals from their imagination with cardboard. For the 3 angels, we built a tent in the classroom as well as a well and camels. This week the students made a video that was played during Kabbalat Shabbat where they shared their lesson with the rest of the school..This year in third and fourth grade Hebrew class, we practice speaking the language by reading a conversation text over and over to try to make the correct sounds of the words. After practicing, they filmed the video themselves using puppets. We are also learning Hebrew songs and filming video clips. The students are still working on their Israel project and the serious movie that they going to make. A part from all the fun, we are also learning the old fashion way by practicing our grammar and reading by reading interesting Judaic stories in Hebrew.
