When we think about doing a mitzvah, we think about the giving of ourselves, our time, and/or our money to others. But what about the act of doing something outside our comfort zone to benefit our school’s kehillah?
Students, staff, and faculty are required to wear masks throughout the day this year, and while this is a new policy for all of us, our students see it more as doing a mitzvah than it being an inconvenience.
When we wear our masks at school, we’re not only keeping ourselves safe but we’re also keeping our school kehillah safe.
That is why at the NEMJDS, we proudly wear our mitzvah masks.
