6th grade Hebrew class has just completed their food unit, and it was definitely a class favorite! We began with learning cooking-related terms and even produced our own fantastic cooking shows. Along the way we learned how to order food, express our opinions about restaurant meals, talk about vegetarianism and even explore the range of Israeli cuisine. We completed our unit with cooking an Israeli lunch in the school kitchen, including hummus, Israeli salad, bourekas and eggplant, that received rave reviews from students and teachers alike!
