Who we are
For more than 40 years, the N. E. Miles Jewish Day School has inspired learning for a lifetime. We are a community day school, and through our values-based education our students learn to be leaders both in our school community and the greater community.
At the N. E. Miles Jewish Day School, our high academic standards, low student-to-teacher ratio, and individualized instruction create a love of learning and an environment of academic excellence where students reach their full potential.
Our SACS-accredited dual curriculum encompasses state curricular goals and also a values-based Judaic studies program, which includes Hebrew language instruction. Research demonstrates the numerous benefits of acquiring a second language at an early age, such as higher standardized test scores, more advanced reading skills, and greater confidence.
Additionally, our students develop a strong sense of identity and pride in who they are. Our graduates depart with the confidence to act ethically as leaders in their community thanks to our emphasis on the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) through collaborative and experiential learning.
Our school is dedicated to educating the whole child.
- We offer experiential learning experiences while providing opportunities for discovery and creativity.
- We create learning opportunities that empower students to ask questions and think critically.
- We look through a Jewish lens to make connections between General and Jewish studies.
- We integrate our curriculum across subject areas.
- We promote self-advocacy and strong communication skills.
- We foster strong work habits and organizational skills.
